About Us
Our club is run by 3 Time Australian Muay Thai Champion Kym ‘The Technician’ Johnson who has over 18 years’ experience in Muay Thai with a Record of 48 Fights, 35 Wins and 9KOs. Kym started his Muay Thai journey at the age of 14 in 2001 training under Jeremy Keeping and Alan Wong. Kym has had extensive training overseas in Thailand at numerous Muay Thai Camps.
Kym began competing at age 16 going onto to win fights throughout Australia which saw him climb the Muay Thai Ranks winning State and Australian Titles.
In 2010, Kym dedicated his life fully to Muay Thai, it was at this time Kym also began his coaching career.
Kym’s passion for coaching grew and in 2016. Kym started his own Club – “Technicians Thaiboxing” Which reflects Kym’s style as being technical in his teaching of Muay Thai skills.
Technicians Thaiboxing continues to grow, training students both who want to learn and receive the benefits of this martial art and also those wanting to compete in the ring.
Technicians Thaiboxing has a wealth of experience and knowledge, teaching the ideals of discipline, respect and principles of Muay Thai to People of all ages, men and women from all backgrounds, beginners to experienced Muay Thai practitioners.
